“Massachusetts Grown”

Supporting Massachusetts Farms by Buying “Locally Grown”

There are an abundant number of farm stands, pick-your-own and farmer’s markets across the Commonwealth. With over 500 road side farm stands and farmer’s markets, it is no wonder that Massachusetts ranks first in New England for direct sales of farm products. Locally grown and produced farm and value added products locations can be found here through the numerous websites that list them .

Agri-tourism encourages the public to experience the sources of our “locally grown” products. The Commonwealth has produced an “Agriculture Tourism Map” that invites you visit 295 farms across the state offering “ag”tivities for the entire family.

To obtain a copy:

email - agtourism@state.ma.us

or visit the state website:

www.mass.gov/massgrown

for a comprehensive list of consumer resources, crop and product associations, agriculture education information and “buy local” websites.

Take advantage of the fresh market produce at a market near you and the many fine products that are produced from the harvest of our local farms.
